ODE is a social enterprise set up by Larissa in August 2020 after the Beirut Port Explosion with the aim of supporting a group of highly skilled refugee women artisans living in the south of Beirut.

With upcycling and mending at its core, the concept behind ODE is that one can bring ones own clothing, choose 3 colours and the desired placement for the embroidery and/or repair. The piece then gets sent out to Beirut and returns 2 month later uniquely transformed and revived with beautiful and traditional hand embroidery.

The very personal aspect of each commission creates a close and reciprocal connection between the artisan and the client which is so important in highlighting the value of the hand made today.
